In todays world technology is using people just as much as people are using technology.We use media, video platforms, search engines and various apps every day.Most people don't realize that behind these platforms is an invisible force.The algorithm.This algorithm doesn't just understand our likes; it has the power to influence what we pay attention to how we feel, what we do and what we think.So it can be said that "only fools fall into the trap of algorithms".Is, those who aren't aware don't think critically and accept information without checking it are the most vulnerable to digital control.


Algorithms are basically a system that decides what content we see what news is most important which videos appear in front of us over and over or which ads catch our attention.Social media companies have turned peoples time and attention into something they can sell. They know that the more time people spend online the ads they'll see and the more money they'll make. So algorithms show us content that excites our emotions.Anger, fear, division, curiosity or addiction.


The problem is, most people don't get how this works.They think they're making their decisions but really their attention is being guided.Some people waste hours watching videos some believe fake information is true and some think digital popularity is what matters.Algorithms find peoples weaknesses. Use them against them.


Here being "stupid" doesn't just mean someone who's n't smart.It means someone who hasn't learned to ask questions doesn't check information doesn't think critically and doesn't know about the tricks of the digital world.Even someone with a lot of education can fall into the trap of algorithms if they're not aware.On the hand an ordinary person can protect themselves if they understand how digital platforms are influencing their behavior.


The scariest thing about algorithms is that they trap people in an "echo chamber." This means a person only sees opinions and information that agree with what they think.As a result they get less tolerant of opinions and divisions in society get bigger.People then start to believe more in what they see than in real life.


However technology itself isn't the enemy. The problem is using technology without thinking.Understanding algorithms means understanding not technology; but also understanding our own psychology, weaknesses and the value of our attention. A person who is aware knows when to stop, what information to check and what content is influencing their thinking.Being able to use technology wisely today isn't just about technical skills; it's an important condition for being free to think for ourselves.


Finally, in the age of algorithms being aware is the strength. A person who can ask questions verify information and control their attention is less likely to fall into traps.A person who just scrolls without thinking gradually becomes a product controlled by algorithms. Therefore "only fools fall into the trap of algorithms".This sentence isn't a joke but a reality of modern digital society.
