 " ধর্ষণ ও যৌন সহিংসতার কারণ: মনোবিজ্ঞান, স্নায়ুবিজ্ঞান, ইসলাম" ছোট ছোট মেয়েদের রেপ করা হচ্ছে। বাচ্চারা তো কোনো দোকানের ফল নয় যে যেভাবে খুশি ব্যবহার করবে। ধর্ষণ কেন হয়? নারীর পোশাক এই ধরনের ব্যাখ্যা বৈজ্ঞানিক বা অপরাধবিজ্ঞানের দৃষ্টিতে ধর্ষণের প্রধান কারণ হিসেবে গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়। বিশেষ করে শিশুদের ক্ষেত্রে পোশাক বা যৌন আবেদন কোনোভাবেই কারণ হিসেবে দাঁড়ায় না, কারণ শিশুদের মধ্যে যৌন উদ্দেশ্যপূর্ণ আচরণ থাকে না। ধর্ষণের মূল কারণ সাধারণত ক্ষমতার অপব্যবহার, নিয়ন্ত্রণের মানসিকতা, অপরাধপ্রবণতা এবং সামাজিক-নৈতিক ব্যর্থতার সাথে সম্পর্কিত। আমাদের মা-বোনদের কেন নিরাপত্তা দিতে আমরা ব্যর্থ? অনেক সময় দেখা যায়, বোরকা পরিহিত বা সম্পূর্ণ আবৃত নারীরাও নির্যাতনের শিকার হন যা স্পষ্ট করে যে পোশাক এখানে নির্ধারক কারণ নয়। যৌনতা ও আচরণের ক্ষেত্রে সিগমন্ড ফ্রয়েড এর ইদ , ইগো ও সুপারইগো  ধারণা মনোবিজ্ঞানের ইতিহাসে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হলেও আধুনিক মনোবিজ্ঞান একে ধর্ষণের সরাসরি বৈজ্ঞানিক ব্যাখ্যা হিসেবে গ্রহণ করে না। এটি একটি তাত্ত্বিক কাঠামো, কিন্তু অপরাধের কারণ ব্যাখ্যায় এটি একক বা সিদ্ধান্তমূলক নয়। ধর্ষণকে সাধারণত...
