Academic Publishing vs the Commercial Trap of Predatory Journals

Academic Publishing vs the  Commercial Trap of Predatory Journals

Many experiments have been conducted on this journal.I applied four theories in this paper, but not all of them were fully developed yet. This journal sent me separate emails for six months, especially from the editor, encouraging me to publish the paper.Although its publisher is Scientific Research Publishing (SCIRP), the name of the journal under this publisher is Advances in Literary Study.

This is a Chinese journal. This journal gives validity to intact citations of data collected from Wikipedia, Blogspot, and online newspapers. This is undoubtedly a predatory journal. This is a low-tier journal.

Frequent emails persuading authors to publish without verifying the validity of the data, the application of excessive theories, and the easy acceptance of papers for publication in academia create an online commercial trap operating in the name of higher education.Where constantly publishing papers is considered an achievement, it reflects a weak point of academia.

During my student life, while trying to understand academia, I tried to understand the behavior of predatory journals by publishing many underdeveloped papers in more than fifteen journals over the last three years. These journals thought that I might publish more papers with them, but just as they trap authors in exchange for money, I also tried to understand the behavior of predatory journals through some of my papers.

Their peer-review mechanism is also very weak.In domains where there is a need for an editor, there are often no qualified editors, and the feedback from editors during the peer review process is not satisfactory.Papers are not checked for plagiarism using Turnitin. The impact factor (IF) they present is questionable. The citations of the papers are also not very high.

If publishing papers is considered an achievement and following social media trends is also considered an achievement, then keeping accepted papers hanging may be the right decision.
