A Humble Servant’s Prayer for Mercy
A Humble Servant’s Prayer for Mercy
O Almighty Creator,
You have said: “I am the Near One; I respond to the call of the supplicant” (Al-Baqarah 2:186).
I am a humble creation—
a tiny speck of dust within the boundless universe of Your power and mercy.
Your mercy and love are my true success.
Just as every particle in existence moves by Your command,
so too does my soul long to move in accordance with Your guidance.
O Lord,
shape the trials of my life in a way that they do not break me, but build me.
As diamonds are formed under pressure and heat,
may patience and faith be formed within me through every test.
Grant me strength
that after every fall I may rise again—
not for worldly pride or success,
but for a single step closer to You.
O Al-‘Alim (All-Knowing),
You know every connection of neurons,
every wave of the brain,
and every unseen movement of the heart.
So keep my mind, thoughts, and intellect steady and sound,
that I may seek knowledge,
understand the laws of Your creation,
and reflect upon Your signs across the universe.
O Lord,
grant me knowledge
as You granted Adam (peace be upon him) the knowledge of names,
so that I may remain among Your humble learners.
Instill within me confidence—
not arrogance, but strength rooted in humility.
Remind me that just as the universe stands in balance,
so too is my life guided by Your hidden wisdom.
O Rahman,
I know that the complexity of this world is temporary—
as every wave returns to its source,
so too will every soul return to You.
So make me ready for that return.
Draw me toward Your mercy,
and allow me to find my ultimate peace in You.
