In Love with Nature, Silence, and the Infinite

I have fallen in love with this nature

more deeply than I have fallen in love with myself.

The more times I have seen myself in the mirror,

the more I have looked at the sky in amazement—

its blue infinity,

the secret language of its stars,

its enchanting arrangement of light and darkness.

The mystery of this nature calls to me

like an invisible formula

hidden in the vibration of leaves,

speaking silently in the waves of water.

In the science of this nature, I seek the signature of the Creator;

in the equations of mathematics, I see the breath of the universe;

in the dance of molecules and atoms,

I hear the rhythm of creation.

The sadness of this nature humbles me;

storms teach me humility.

The joy of this nature brightens me;

the dawn sun teaches me the language of hope.

The silence of the night teaches me meditation;

the sound of the rain teaches me the endless flow.

I bow in love to the One who created this nature,

for His creation is limitless, and I am only a speck within it.

There is a deep melody in His silence,

heard not by the ear,

but by the heart.

The path of spirituality is silent,

yet that silence is the most pronounced truth.

In the melody of silence, I find peace;

in the search for infinite knowledge,

I find the meaning of life.

I want to learn—

from every person,

from every leaf,

from every failure and every success.

For knowledge belongs to no single soul;

it is an endless journey.

So I choose to live

as a student of everyone—

of nature, of people, of time.

I want to be the search,

to be the question,

to be the indomitable desire to find light.

In love with something greater than myself,

in a consciousness stretching toward the infinite,

I long to lose myself and discover the calm radiance of truth.
