Roots and Darkness

Root summons me forth—

“Say, embrace with me.”

Abruptly, the sound arises in the air:

“No, no, no.”

My entrance wavers;

The soul is in fluctuation.

Bringing dreadfulness,

The sound comes forward

With darkness.

Swiftly with sword,

Root says—

“Let’s fight.”

Face to face,

The fight continues on and on.

Me, being a vapor,

Mix with the sky.
