Social networking sites are such kinds of specialized websites  based on the application of Internet technology  through which social network process is built up among people of all parts of the world.Similarly, social network sites are online platform for making social relationship and social communication with people all over the world sharing their feelings, emotions, thoughts, views,personal life experience,opinion, likes and dislikes,photos,video.The influence of social networking sites contain both positive and negative effects of which reflections upon people  simultaneously.The effects of social networking sites are too many to describe,including positive effects:enrichment of communication of virtual relationship,expansion of communication skills, the foundation of increased knowledge and also including negative effects: health risk and sufferings of deadly disease, degradation of tender minds, to cut a sorry figure in the exams, indignity of individual’s personality, weakness and deviation of family ties.


At the beginning,the positive effect of social networking sites is the enrichment of communication of virtual socio-relationship overcoming geographical border distance among all over countries of the world.Use of social networking sites worldwide on a large scale creates a mutual understanding and exchange of feeling, emotions, preference through which virtual relationships with people all parts of the countries become enriched.For example,anyone, staying in Bangladesh, shares his emotions,feelings,likes and dislikes, personal experience with the other person,staying in the USA through online based platform like-Facebook and eventually exchange of emotional elements each other consist of mutual understanding and worldwide socio-virtual relationship enrichment.Hence, there is no doubt in case of the flourishing of socio-virtual relationship.



The other positive effect of social networking sites is the expansion of  social connectivity and virtual based social communication systems. Use of social network sites gives the accessibility of sharing ideas, thoughts,opinion,cultural facts, views one another throughout the world through which social connectivity amplifies and activates and consequently circumference of virtual based social communication systems among people all parts of the world retains universality.For instance, using Facebook, Messenger,Twitter, LinkedIn,Viber,Instagram,Tumblr,WhatsApp and so on at ease text messages, audio, video, photo are done shared one another, in this way social connectivity is made up off.And so, social networking sites play a vital role to build up virtual-socio connectivity system.

Another positive effect of social networking sites is the foundation of increased knowledge. In the social networking sites, various kinds of concise/extended texts on versatile facts, occurrence of all over the world  incidents on numerous affairs shaping as videos, blogging posts are shared and reading and seeing those, knowledge is increased.That is,In facebook and Blog sites and Twitter, posts of concise/large sizes keep up more varied information of every sectors and through reading and proper realizing them, knowledge is prolonged.Therefore, social networking sites develop and enriched our knowledge.


Besides, one of the negative effects of social networking sites is health risk and sufferings of deadly disease.The excessive and continuous uses of social sites bring about various kinds of sicknesses based on physically and mentally and don’t form good health.Namely,brain tumor,loss of eyesight,insomnia and so on diseases soar up because of excessive uses of those sites. Electronic instruments- android mobile phone,ipod scatter radiation and to activate those social sites for longer times cause brain tumor and also to look at the i-phone or personal computer’s screen for much times damage eyesight.Those sites obsessive uses cause insomnia. Beyond question, use of social networking sites  on a large scale are responsible for health risk.



Moreover, degradation of tender minds is also another negative effect of social networking sites.In the welfare of Internet technology, online platforms are being developed and emphasized that’s why the accessibility and availability of recreational resources is being available to all ages of people.Recreational resources, which are on obnoxious and gross based, have had negativity upon  tender minds.Such as, tender aged minds are acquainted with obscene films,indecent songs especially video music,sexual based web series, porn sites.Notably, tender aged minds are committed to illegal acts that was unbelievable before.Infact, due to the negative effect of social sites, tender aged minds future goes to rack and ruin.



Furthermore, excessive use of social networking sites kills valuable time of student life.Most notably, students spend a lot of time in online based platforms due to massive inclination to social sites.Namely, two third students of our country neglect their studies and give a great attention for social sites activating for longer times and thus cut a sorry figure in the exam and fail to reach their cherished vision.So to say,to spend time more behind social sites than reading can never bring a good result.



In addition, indignity of an individual's personality is another negative effect of social networking sites.Often, misuse of online based platforms by immoral criminals takes place that belittle any individual's dignity  socially.Such as, hacking personal facebook id and collecting photo and also using the photo in porn sight (with the help of Adobe photoshop application), decline dignity of individual’s  personality.Therefore, adverse effect of social sites deteriorates human’s dignity.


Additionally, weakness and deviation of family ties is one of the bad effects of social networking sites. Addiction of social networking sites plays a negative role in family interconnected relationships and creates distance and misunderstanding.That is, in the modern era it is visible the deviation of family ties by the means of social sites.Before days family ties was more strong and communication between family members was activated and interaction between family members created mutual understanding.But explosion of social networking sites have taken the previous place of family ties and eventually the gap has generated.Above all, distance of family ties rises on account of the sites.


To sum up, Everything has its merit and demerits.Likewise,Social networking sites have positive and negative effects in every spheres of life.Else, positive effects of social networking sites are also worldwide cultural interaction, international social connectivity and negative effects of social networking sites are also social unrest and social networking based crimes/cyber crime.Be that as it may,the amplitude of use of social networking sites will be amplified in the technology based competitive world along with negativity of social networking sites will remain.But the highest  efforts will be continued how social networking sites can come the welfare of the mankind.
